STATEMENT

My work begins in documentation of the real and moves towards its final form through literal or directed manipulation. I often incorporate objects found in or near my home, many of which have been discarded by my children or used in the process of caregiving. Whether working with objects, environments or people, my compositions often play with the tension between the subject and negative space.
